Road Trip - Santa Fe

BRAND IDENTITY

Road Trip is a personal project, which started with simple sketches I created as I was on a cross-country road trip, aiming to express my impressions of places I visited, through lettering. Santa Fe's most pronounced feature, the adobe houses, as well as some elements of the art I saw around the city, became an inspiration for this logotype. The city's unique architecture is one of the reasons for its popularity. I recreated the soft curves of the buildings that overlap each other, in the letter shapes. This softness and fullness gives the logotype a friendly, warm, relaxed feel which is exactly how I felt in this city, surrounded by textures, natural colors, and soft shapes.

The logotype became a cornerstone of the concept for a flexible visual system, which can be applied to a variety of touchpoints as banners, posters, billboards, and postcards. The images, interwoven with colors, and textures, emphasize the visual atmosphere of the city, just as the logotype does.

THE ROAD TRIP SERIES

The Road Trip includes four distinct logotypes for four cities. I created visual systems around three of them - Flagstaff, Santa Fe, and Tulsa, using the distinctive imagery intrinsic to these places in combination with the logotypes. These systems can be used as a cornerstone for a tourism campaign. You can view these by clicking on the logotypes below.
